Step 1 — Answer a few quick questions
Tell us the loan amount you're looking for, an estimate of your credit range, and your income. The form takes less than 90 seconds. This step only involves the information you type in — nothing is submitted to a lender yet, and no credit check happens here.
Step 2 — Get matched with lenders instantly
Once you submit your information, our matching engine compares it against our network of lender partners in real time. We surface the offers that best fit your profile based on loan amount, credit range, state of residence, and income. This is where a soft credit inquiry may occur — a soft pull does not affect your credit score, unlike a hard inquiry.
💡 A soft credit check is different from a hard credit check. Soft checks (used for matching) never lower your score. Hard checks only happen if you move forward and formally apply with a specific lender.
Step 3 — Choose your offer and get funded
Review the offers you're matched with side by side — comparing APR, loan term, and estimated monthly payment. When you pick an offer, you'll complete the rest of the application directly with that lender, on their site. They'll confirm your identity, verify income, and disclose the final APR, fees, and repayment schedule before you accept anything.
Funding speed depends on the lender you choose. Many of our partners offer next-business-day funding, and some offer same-day deposit for approvals completed early in the day.
What happens after you apply with a lender?
- Verification: The lender verifies your identity, income, and bank account — usually by connecting your bank or uploading documents.
- Final offer: You'll see the exact APR, fees, and repayment terms in writing before signing anything.
- E-sign: Most lenders let you review and sign your loan agreement electronically.
- Funding: Once signed, funds are typically deposited directly into your bank account.
Is there a cost to use VelhoCapital?
No. VelhoCapital is free for borrowers. We're compensated by lenders in our network when we refer a borrower who ends up taking a loan — this does not change the rate or terms you're offered, and it costs you nothing to compare offers.
